Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By signing up for or using Changedrop ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service. "You" refers to you as an individual or the organisation you represent.

2. What Changedrop provides

Changedrop provides tools to create and embed a changelog widget on your product, publish release notes, manage email subscribers, and track engagement. We offer a free plan and paid subscription plans. Features available depend on your plan.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account secure. We use magic link authentication — do not share your sign-in links. You must provide accurate information when creating an account. One person or legal entity may not maintain more than one free account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Changedrop to:

  • Publish spam, illegal content, or content that violates others' rights
  • Send unsolicited emails to people who have not subscribed to your changelog
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer or copy the Service
  • Use the Service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair it
  • Resell or white-label the Service without written permission

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Payment and billing

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. All fees are in USD and non-refundable unless required by law. If your payment fails, we'll notify you and give you a grace period to update your billing details. After that, your account may be downgraded to the free plan.

6. Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard settings. Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period. We do not prorate refunds for unused time. Cancelling does not delete your account or data — you are downgraded to the free plan.

7. Your content

You own the content you publish through Changedrop. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store, display, and deliver your content as necessary to operate the Service. We will never sell or use your content for advertising.

8. Availability and support

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. We may perform maintenance that causes temporary downtime. We will communicate significant outages via our status page where possible. Support is provided by email at hello@changedrop.app.

9. Limitation of liability

Changedrop is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months prior to the claim.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email or via your dashboard if we make material changes. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
